Reena Jamnadas (nee Govindji), BSc (Hons) – Consulting Psychologist
Reena is a Consulting Psychologist at Capp and delivers work in Capp’s core areas of assessment, development, performance management and change. Her own areas of specialism include strengths-based assessment, team development, strengths based management, and leadership development. Reena’s strong understanding of positive psychology applications, occupational psychology, and practical methodologies makes her approach to consulting one that yields dynamic, long-term and sustainable business outcomes. She has a broad range of consulting experience within the public, private and non-profit sectors and has also designed, delivered and managed numerous assessment and development projects. Her clients have included Aviva, Birmingham City Council, Boehringer Ingelheim, Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, Learning & Skills Improvement Service, Royal Mail, South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, The Willow Foundation, UNICEF UK, Vertex, and Warwick University Careers Service.
Reena is an experienced coach of individuals and teams. Her clients and team describe her as bringing insightful and practical knowledge of strengths psychology and its applications to facilitate growth amongst individuals, small and large groups. She is a lead trainer on Capp’s flagship programmes, the Strengths Practitioner Programme and the Team Strengths Practitioner Programme.
Reena holds a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Leicester. She was awarded the Peace-Cotton prize for the highest mark in clinical psychology and a first class mark for her dissertation on the relationship between strengths use and well-being, which was subsequently published in the International Coaching Psychology Review. She is currently completing her PhD on understanding the role of wisdom in organisational leadership at Aston Business School.
Reena has frequently presented to audiences from 30-100+ on strengths based assessment, development, and positive psychology applications to organisations. She has co-authored several chapters and journal articles in various publications about the applications of strengths-based approaches to leadership, the employee life cycle, and the wider organisation.
Reena is known for her strengths in Esteem Builder, Catalyst, Feedback and Personalisation, which she demonstrates in her client engagements, training approach, and work with the Capp Advisory team.
