Ryan Bodinnar – BA (Hons) – Software Developer
Ryan is a Software Developer for CAPP and works in the Technology Team under the direction of Tony. He earned a BA Honours First Class in Multimedia Computing from Coventry University with a double first in his final year project; a customer website and integrated stock control system for a furniture retailer. He has also achieved level 1 in British Sign Language and is a trained First Aider.
Ryan started programming at the age of 8 on his Amstrad CPC 464 and hasn’t stopped since (not literally of course!). After graduating from university, he began his career working for a Local Government Authority in a mixed support and development role. After 7 years of service, a desire to learn and expand his development skills led him to CAPP.
At Capp Ryan is responsible for the continual improvement of the technology behind our products and services and ensuring that the IT strategy is delivered to the benefit of our customers. He also specialises in the development of adaptations to Realise2 and the development of on-line assessment platforms.
Ryan’s interests outside of work include the obligatory technology enthusiasm, cycling, extracurricular courses, and playing the drums; a skill with which he took part in a world record event to raise money for MS. His adventures abroad have seen him take part in a 65m long tug of war during a snowy February evening in Japan, jumping out of an aeroplane over a beach in Australia and swimming with sharks (both intentionally and unintentionally!).
Ryan’s strengths lie in Prevention, Service, Explainer and Resolver which are perfectly suited for software development and support. His strength of Humour is definitely advantageous when working with Tony!
