The Dynamic Nature of Strengths Alex Linley, Founding Director of Capp | 21 July 2011, 15:30 BST (GMT+1) Watch the Recording Here Are you limiting potential in yourself and others by having a “fixed” view of strengths?
The received wisdom is that we’re born with our strengths, that they’re fixed and unchanging. The problem is that this is simply wrong. There is no evidence to show it – and we have looked! Strengths are defined by situations: quite simply, if you’re not using a strength, you will not see its benefits as a strength. As situations change, so the strengths change that we need for those situations. As different situations require, strengths can advance into the foreground, or recede into the background. In this webinar, Alex will reveal some staggering new insights from the Realise2 model as it relates to the dynamic nature of strengths, as well as sharing Capp’s latest thinking on dynamic strengths development.
Alex Linley is Capp’s Founding Director. Alex’s unique combination of scientific rigour and inspirational vision are rare and materialise themselves in the ground breaking strengths assessment and development tool Realise2 and recent popular bestseller The Strengths Book: Be Confident, Be Successful, and Enjoy Better Relationships by Realising the Best of You (2010).
