CAPP's Strengths based Engagement and Wellbeing

The cost of ill health to the UK economy is around £100 billion a year. This is equivalent to running another NHS. ‘Presentee-ism’ costs (being at work but not really working) are estimated to be twice the number of absent days lost from the business bottom line. For teams, costs of low well-being and low engagement range from 10%-25% loss of productivity, higher absence rates and lower retention rates.

When employees are engaged at work, are able to show their capabilities and associate positively with the organisations’ values, they are more productive, stay with the organisation longer, experience greater job satisfaction and are healthier.

By investing in employee well-being companies can increase their performance.

CAPP work with nef (new economics foundation) to help organisations implement the well-being@work© tool and pinpoint and plan for organisational and employee development as a result.

well-being@work© is not just a high-speed survey – it is a seamless process, involving pre-survey communication and guidance to staff, and also integrates solutions and coaching to managers and staff post-survey results.

So how does it work?

Brief: We work with you to set the survey up right, starting off on the right foot is all about clear communication.

Data Collection: The Well-being@work tool© enables data to be gathered across the four domains of well-being. Bespoke or customized questions can be added to filter results by chosen demographics to slice and dice your data. The survey itself takes just 10-15 minutes, and results are calibrated automatically – cutting out the cost of waiting weeks for data, adding value to the timeliness of follow-ups.

Results: We interpret your data for you, enabling you to understand the multi-dimensional linkages between well-being and performance.

Interventions: We work with you to explore the best ways to communicate results to teams, coach them on how they can improve their well-being and provide strategic advice on embedding well-being throughout the organisation.

Our well-being@work© programmes teach the core principles of well-being@work© and how they can be implemented personally and collectively.

These can be supported by the well-being@work© toolkit which is packed full of resources and tools that can be used with individuals and teams.
