We conduct evaluation studies to see if different interventions or activities have made a difference, both to people and the bottom line. Our experience and expertise covers the following areas:
Scale development: Developing measurement scales or questionnaires to measure areas that are of specific interest;
Survey design: Designing qualitative or quantitative surveys that are used to gather data from specific populations or varieties of different people;
Experimental design: Designing experimental investigations to test the effects of different interventions or activities;
Data analysis and reporting: Analysing the data that has been collected, both quantitative and qualitative, and reporting back on our findings in the format that's right for you - whether internal report or external academic publication;
Research project management: Managing research projects through all stages from start to finish, from conceptualisation and design, through to data collection, analysis, and reporting;
Project evaluation: Reviewing interventions, activities, or research projects, whether conducted by ourselves or others, to determine whether the project met the intended criteria and what lessons can be learned for the future.

Examples of some of our recent projects include:
Magnum PQ Test and Global Pleasure Report: We worked with Magnum ice cream to develop the Magnum PQ Test, which measures ten different dimensions of pleasure and calculates people's Pleasure Quotient, or PQ, based on the frequency and intensity of their pleasure experiences. Within three months of being launched, the Magnum PQ Test had been completed by more than 100,000 people, and Professor Alex Linley, serving as Magnum's Professor of Pleasure, wrote the Magnum State of the World's Pleasure Report;
Development of the Consumer Vitality Scales: Working with Unilever, we developed and validated the Consumer Vitality Scales, measuring the three elements of vitality that are central to Unilever's mission statement - "To add vitality to life."
Understanding the structure of happiness and well-being: To support Unilever's internal research programme, we ran a project examining the structure of subjective and psychological well-being, which ultimately led to an external publication in the respected academic journal Personality and Individual Differences.
